Welcome to the Miramar Young Marines Website.

The Young Marines motto is "Strengthening the Lives of America's Youth." We are a youth education and service program welcoming boys and girls beginning at the age of 8, through the completion of high school.

The program promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members, focusing on character building and leadership.

The Young Marines is the focal point for the U.S. Marine Corps'
youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts. The goal is to nurture and develop its members into responsible citizens who enjoy and consequently through their life, promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

UPDATES

12 Mar 2010: Sorry everyone my computer has been on the fritz all week and I have not been able to get on it. Saturday the 13th will be a regular drill. Young Marines Show up in their PT gear (yellow shirt, black shorts) and we will go for a little run. Please bring your uniforms to change into later along with water and their Guide books. We will be working to get some more sign offs done.

18 Feb 2010: Just as a reminder Young Marine Drill goes every Saturday onboard MCAS Miramar from 0800-1130 unless otherwise noted. Young Marines will be expected to show with their Uniform on, Guide book, notebook, writeing utencil, and water source for all meetings unless otherwise directed not to.
Saturday the 27th of Febuary there will be no meeting instead will be the encampment with San Diego Young Marines for those Young Marines signed up to attend.

9 Feb 2010: Saturday, 27 - Sunday, 28 Feb - Camping Trip ( No Drill ) Drop off: Saturday, 0800 at Mission Trails campgrounds. Pick up: Sunday, 1200 at Missions Trails campgrounds Cost: $35. Due 13 Feb 10. Click here for gear list

4 Feb 2010: Looks like rain for Saterday, and if that is the case we will move our training indoors. I look foward to seeing everyone Saterday for Drill.
